Overview
I'm a hands-on integration engineer with 14 years in healthcare IT, from interface-level HL7 support at athenahealth to running vendor EDI integrations today. I care about the boring stuff that makes integrations succeed in production: contracts, error handling, observability, and clear operational ownership.
Outside of work, I run a homelab I treat as production: a Kubernetes cluster with GitOps delivery, self-hosted GPU inference, and a multi-agent development workflow built on MCP with persistent agent memory and automated quality gates. That's where fi-fhir, edilint, FlexInfer, and Loom come from.
This site is a mix of professional writing, case studies, and lab work. The through-line is the same: measurable reliability and pragmatic engineering.
How I Work
Make the contract explicit
APIs, docs, and “this is what success looks like” should match. If they don’t, support becomes archaeology.
Measure before optimizing
I prefer a baseline and a tight loop: instrument, test, change one thing, validate, repeat.
Operational ownership wins
Healthy systems have clear on-call expectations, runbooks, and a feedback loop from incidents into engineering.
