Overview
Interface support to integration architecture
I've spent 14 years in healthcare IT, working across interface support, API engineering, integration architecture, and team leadership. I care about the details that make an integration maintainable: clear contracts, useful errors, monitoring, and someone who owns the next step.
Outside of work, I run a Kubernetes homelab with GitOps delivery, self-hosted GPU inference, and supervised AI development tools. It supports my independent projects: fi-fhir, edilint, FlexInfer, and Loom. Their code and docs show what I'm building and how I test it.
I use this site to share implementation notes, case studies, and lessons from that work, including the things I'm still figuring out.
Principles
How I work

Make the contract explicit
The API, documentation, and acceptance tests should describe the same behavior. I check the gaps before they become support problems.

Measure before optimizing
Establish a baseline, change one thing, and check the result against the same workload.
- 03
Make support part of delivery
Agree on who responds, what they need to investigate, and how incident findings get back into engineering.
- 04
Review the evidence
When I use AI development tools, I review the diff, the test results, and the commit they apply to. A passing check needs to cover the change being shipped.
